• After bringing in the wood from the shed, their clothes were wet. Alyssa asked, "You said you don't think there's much propane left to heat the water, but how long do you think it will last? I sure could use a bath to warm up." To their surprise, the old house didn't seem to have a shower, just a big free-standing clawfoot tub in the bathroom on the main level.
• "Honestly I don't know. I don't have any experience with this kind of water heater. If it runs out though, we could always heat water in pots over the fire, like they used to in the olden days."
• Alyssa laughed. "That sounds like a lot of work! But I suppose we don't have a whole lot else to do, if it comes to that. What do you think about trying for the bath now?"
